Admittedly, the lack of Pheneos’ symbol kerykeion on the reverse makes the attribution less certain but is based on M.G. Clerk’s Catalogue of the Coins of the Achaean League (1895) where a similar coin is listed under Pheneos (no 222, p. 14, pl. IX)
