Holmasto is a family business founded in Helsinki in 1949 and still run by the same family in the third generation. Our long history reflects our commitment to quality, expertise and customer service, which we cherish in our daily operations. Our store is centrally located in the centre of Helsinki at Aleksanterinkatu 50, making us easily accessible to both local and international customers.

Our business

Over the decades, Holmasto’s operations have expanded into three main areas: a jewellery and watch shop, international auctions and a money market. Each of these services is based on strong expertise and long-term experience. The trust and satisfaction of our customers is our top priority, and we always strive to provide a personal and quality service.

Jewellery and watches

At Holmasto Jewellery and Watch Shop we offer a wide range of internationally renowned and prestigious watch and jewellery brands, including Rolex, Cartier, Omega, Breitling, and Lapponia. We also sell timeless gemstone and precious metal products, including engagement and wedding rings, diamond rings, diamond earrings and gold chains. Our range changes regularly, and each product is carefully selected to meet the wishes and needs of our customers.

Our store is located in the centre of Helsinki at Aleksanterinkatu 50, and we serve our customers on weekdays and Saturdays. Our online shop complements our in-store offerings and displays part of our product range. Our customers are always welcome to browse our selection and receive personal service from our experts.

RESTORATION OF WATCHES AND JEWELLERY

Every watch and piece of jewellery that comes to us is carefully inspected and restored. The jewellery is cleaned with an ultrasonic cleaner, polished, and the fittings are checked. Any engravings are removed. We check the running of the watches and, if necessary, have them serviced by an authorised watchmaker to ensure that they are in perfect working order. Serviced watches have a 12-month guarantee.

PURCHASE OF GOLD AND INVESTMENT GOLD

We buy gold in all forms, be it gold jewellery, gold bullion or scrap gold. We pay a competitive price based on the daily fluctuating world market price. We carry out the majority of our valuations on weekdays while you wait, and offer clients a quick and hassle-free sales process.

Holmasto also buys diamond jewellery, silver, watches, coins, banknotes, medals and military items. We always provide an honest and professional valuation of each item, and comprehensive documentation such as receipts and certificates of authenticity can enhance the price offered.

Auction

Every year, Holmasto organises 4 international auctions where a wide range of collectors’ items are sold, from individual objects to large collections. Our special expertise covers numismatics, medals of honour, medals and military items. When it comes to choosing a sale method, our experts help clients find the best solution to ensure that each item gets the value it deserves.

Our auctions reach collectors all over the world, ensuring broad visibility for the items for sale. Our auctions are open both on-site and online, and clients are always offered expert advice. Numismatics

The Mint is Holmasto’s collection of collector coins, banknotes, medals, medals of honour, military items and related collectibles. We have been serving numismatics enthusiasts for decades, and our knowledgeable staff is on hand to assist customers with the valuation and sale of their items.

We are constantly acquiring new items, and offer expert assistance, especially in the sale of larger collections. We carefully evaluate each item and recommend the right way to sell it to maximise its value. Our clients can bring their items directly to our shop for appraisal, or for larger collections, an appraisal can be carried out at the client’s premises.

EVALUATION SERVICE

Holmasto’s experts offer valuation services for individual objects and collections. Appraisals can be carried out in our shop, but for larger collections it is also possible to carry out the appraisal at the customer’s home, by agreement. Our service covers the needs of insurance companies as well as heirs.
